I thought you might find the following links interesting about some very large options positions being put on.
Large mystery trader looking for large down move?
And this thread trying to discern the ramifications of that information.
For those non-system traders out there, do you let information like this affect your decision making process? How do you frame the trade? As for me I just follow my systems and let the chips fall where they may.
Also I am back from the North Carolina beaches after a week of fun and sun. Had a blast down there.
I also see John mentioned the intraday SPY system he’s working on. I will be curious to see how the walk forward testing goes over the next few weeks.
Have a Great Night!

Interesting article. I don’t let that affect my trading. I follow my strategies and, as you say, “let the chips fall where they may”. There are too many news items and market rumors to chase and still remain profitable. Too many bulls, too many bears, too many goldbugs.
BTW…the two links (the article and the thread) point to the same page … I believe you mistakenly posted the same URL for both links or maybe I have to register to view the discussion thread.
Either way … good article.

Thanks for the note on the links Kieth. I fixed the one that was a duplicate.

Rats, exposed again, hahahahaha! Yes, I do let it affect my decisions, and no, I don’t ever have any frame work for any trades any way, why would this one be any different???
BTWIM, I found a testable “strategy” in TS for the DOT system, it absolutely sucks, hahahahaha, especailly on the shorter time frames it is designed for, or the 500 tick ES. It does seem to work on a 60min time frame, and the best part, as I posted today, it thinks exactly like I do.
Good Luck buddy!
